Since 1976, Bill Hinks has followed the philosophy to provide his customers with quality, name brand furniture at guaranteed lowest prices.

His company even offers a 30-day lowest price guarantee. If a customer finds the same piece of furniture at a lower price, they receive a reimbursement for the difference with an additional 10 percent bonus reimbursement.

Competitive by nature, Hinks says that although this is no easy task, he’s been up to the challenge for 34 years as owner of Furniture Outlets USA, a family- owned business which employs more than 700 employees at 28 locations throughout South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.

“I’ve always felt that a person’s home is their most cherished place. By providing people with quality furniture they can afford, I feel that I’m helping them make their house a home,” says Hinks, who is proud to have built a business that his children are actively involved in.

“I’ve dedicated a lot of my life to this business, it in turn has become a great family business where each family member plays an important role,” he says.

Keeping their stores’ inventory fresh and up to date with the latest trends is a focus of Hinks. He and his large team of buyers, spend a lot of time at furniture markets across the nation selecting just the right pieces.

As he’s built a successful business, Hinks remembers to give back to the Sioux Falls Community. Hinks, personally and through his company, is actively involved with local charities including Sioux Falls Cares, Children’s Inn, Make a Wish, Sanford Children’s Hospital, and more.
